Cultivating Intergenerational Learning Communities
The MGS Intergenerational Learning (IGL) Festival on Cultivating Intergenerational Learning Communities seeks to bring together educators, researchers, practitioners, and community leaders to delve into the rich tapestry of intergenerational learning as a context for the development of Character and Citizenship Competencies, with focus on Civic and Cross-Cultural Literacy. This learning festival aims to explore and share emerging good practices, interest and inspire new IGL communities and collaborators, and address challenges in promoting intergenerational learning and harmony. Participants will also have opportunities to immerse in curated IGL experiences.

The session aims to foster intergenerational bonding and mutual learning by encouraging students and seniors to work closely together, enhancing their relationships and creating opportunities for meaningful interaction.

Engage in the gentle and colourful practice of Nagomi art, a Japanese pastel art form known for its calming effects. This session highlights the innovative practices of vertical farming, an authentic and emerging approach to food production. The highlight of the workshop when both generations deconstruct an old Nokia phone and reassemble its parts into a unique art display. This hands-on activity not only fosters creativity but also strengthens the bond between the different age groups, making the event memorable and educational for all.

Will parking be available?
Parking is available on campus.
However, due to limited spaces, we cannot guarantee a lot for all participants. Public parking is available in the vicinity.
